Rules for the construction and classification of aluminum vessels 2017 have been partly amended as

follows:

Chapter 1 General

Paragraph 1.1.1 has been amended as follows:

1.1.1 In general, the aluminum High speed light structure crafts which are capable of maximum speed as specified

in 1.1.3 of Part II of the Rules and not to proceed in the course of their voyage more than the time as specified in

1.2.1(a) or 1.2.1(b) of Part II from a place of refuge, are to be in accordance comply with Chapter 4, Chapter 7, and

Chapter 8 of the "Rules for the Construction and Classification of High-Speed Craft" specified in Chapter 7, the

aluminum passenger ships and the aluminum cargo ships are to be in accordance with Part IX of the "Rules for the

Construction and Classification of Steel Ships".
