• Other distinctive features of Scottish sport are the Highland Games

• The Commonwealth Games 

The Scottish Football

Association is the

governing body of

football in Scotland,

responsible for

organizing the Scottish

Cup and matches

Scotland football team

in their ranks.

The Scottish Cup is

a Scottish football

competition involving teams

from

the Premier League, First,

Second and Third Division.

The competition has a format

very similar to the FA Cup in

England, with one game

elimination.

Rugby in Scotland is regulated by

the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU). Scotland

has a great rivalry with England. They

compete annually for the Calcutta Cupas

part of the Six Nations tournament.

Golf has its origins in the fifteenth

century

in Scotland, there are pastors entert

sport that has been practiced on the

In the Commonwealth Games, in addition to the usual sports like athletics, swimming, gymnastics and cycling, sportscompetitions are played typical member countries such as badminton, cricket, polo,squash, rugby seven, bowling or soccer.
