Ron has been a Project Manager and the HVAC Controls Specialist for the Bureau of Architecture and Engineering,
Division of Facilities Development and Management since 2001. In this role he serves as the primary technical
resource to all state agencies and facilities for building automation and control. Prior to working for the State, he was
with Johnson Controls for 15 years. While at Johnson Controls, he held a number of positions including Project
Manager, Project Engineer, Application Engineer, and Systems Technician. He has had extensive experience in
engineering controls systems, developing control software, managing construction projects, analyzing HVAC designs,
troubleshooting and commissioning a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems. Since starting at the Division
of Facilities Development and Management, Ron has authored several master specifications covering building
automation systems and control sequences as well as updating existing specifications. He’s played a key role in
developing and implementing the state’s commissioning program for state construction projects.
