Roman Vocabulary

• Definition: a painting on a wall (either inside or outside)

• Definition: stones cut into wedges or other shapes so as to support each other rising in a curve.
5. vault
• Definition: an arched structure used to hold up a ceiling or a roof.
6. Dome
• Definition: a round roof shaped like a half-circle.
7. cathedral
• Definition: a large church in the shape of a cross.
8. aqueduct
• Definition: A pipe or channel built to carry water between distant places.
9. legacy
• Definition: anything handed down from the past that is used in the present.
10. Instability
• Definition: when something is not supported or stable.• Example sentence #1: Our new table fell
over because of its instability.
• Example sentence #2: The instability of the sick horse made the horse fall twice.
