Rochelle Seals is an Education Specialist with the Alabama State Department of Education, where
her responsibilities include serving as the state advisor for Alabama DECA and management of
the marketing cluster. She is a National Board Certified teacher and has been recognized by the
Alabama State Senate for teaching excellence. Her educational background includes master’s degree
certifications in Business and Marketing, School Guidance and Administration. Rochelle also studied

Robert Hosier has been with DECA for several years, serving as a DECA high school member, CT DECA
District Representative, chapter advisor and a business partner. Additionally, he has been a DECA
Certified Trainer since 2012. A 20-year veteran teacher and DECA advisor at Plantation, J.P. Taravella and
Cypress Bay High Schools, he is an expert in understanding the role of a DECA advisor.
Currently at Cypress Bay High School, he initiated their DECA chapter 14 years ago, developing 231
chartered association finalists and 24 top 10 finalists at ICDC. Robert graduated from Johnson and Wales
University with a degree in Education and holds an MBA from Nova Southwestern University.

Dr. Lynore Levenhagen has served as the Executive Director for Florida DECA for the past 6 years and
a marketing educator for the past 29. She is also the DECA chapter advisor for an over 300-member
chapter at Lyman High School, where she coordinates three marketing programs - Marketing, Fashion
Marketing, and Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Upon completing training in 2010, DECA certified
trainer was added to her repertoire.
Her passion for CTE is widely recognized, having received the Eagle’s Dare to Achieve Award, a place in
the Florida DECA Hall of Fame and granted an Honorary Life Membership Award. Additionally, she has
received the Outstanding Service Award from National DECA and was named the Lyman High School
Teacher of the Year in 2003. Lynore earned a BA from the University of Northern Iowa. She also holds a
master’s in career and technical education as well as a doctorate in curriculum and instruction.

Shannon has completed the DECA Certified Trainer course every year since 2012. She currently serves
as the Georgia DECA Chartered Association Advisor. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of
her association, she plans and implements programs and activities that support marketing education
in Georgia. Shannon also provides mentoring and coaching to local DECA chapters. Prior to her service
as a DECA Chartered Association Advisor, she acted as assistant director of Georgia’s FCCLA and
as educational program director at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center. Shannon’s various roles in these
organizations have given her a wealth of experience in fundraising, education grant writing, event
planning, competition organization and development of leadership activities. She holds a BS in family and
consumer sciences education and a MEd in workforce education from the University of Georgia.

Janice’s association with DECA began as a college student and has continued to flourish ever since.
Janice has served as a classroom marketing teacher and DECA chapter advisor for over 35 years.
During that time she has served as District Coordinator, hosted district conferences, conducted
professional development activities and served on a variety of committees. Janice has also been a
member of the Indiana DECA Board for 25 years, holding the position of board chair for a portion of her
service. Although Janice retired from the classroom three years ago, she continues her commitment to
DECA by actively serving as executive director for Indiana DECA’s Board of Directors.

provides instructional support in her classroom. Gen has also been a District coordinator and on the
Indiana DECA Board for over 11 years. She also hosts numerous professional development sessions on

Emily’s DECA career began in 2002 as a senior in high school, competing at ICDC in the Creative
Marketing Project. Little did Emily know that she would later have the privilege of becoming
the Indiana DECA Chartered Association Advisor. Emily received her bachelor’s degree in Sport
Administration and Marketing from Ball State University and began her career in education as a
substitute teacher. Emily has judged DECA’s Career Development Conferences from the district to the
international level. Emily began her service as Chartered Association Advisor for Indiana DECA in June,
2010 and I has loved her job ever since.

JENNIFERDeCLERCKMICHIGAN DECA
Jennifer began her teaching career in 2007 as a marketing instructor, DECA advisor and school-based enterprise advisor. She is currently employed at Henry Ford II High School in Utica Community Schools, where she teaches courses in marketing, entrepreneurship and finance. During her tenure, her DECA chapter has received a number of accolades as well as a gold-level certified school-based enterprise.
Jennifer’s dedication to the profession extends beyond the classroom. She first became a DECA Certified Trainer in 2012 and has since provided professional development at both the regional and state levels. She has also served on the Michigan Marketing Educators (MME) Board since 2009, holding the position of president and secretary. Jennifer was selected as a lead teacher for the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Marketing in Economics Curriculum Integration Grant administered through Berrien RESA. Her leadership resulted in the development of 45 lesson plans aligned to the State’s economics standards, allowing teachers to grant state graduation credit through state approved Marketing Education programs.
Jennifer received her BS in secondary education from Central Michigan University and is vocationally certified in marketing and business. She has also received her Masters in public administration, with an emphasis in educational administration at the University of Michigan Flint.

David is a marketing teacher and DECA advisor at Milford High School in Highland, Michigan, where

Dave has served as the Michigan DECA Chartered Association Advisor since 1986 and has been a DECA
certified trainer since 2012. Prior to 1986, he was a marketing education instructor and DECA chapter
advisor at the Saginaw Career Complex. As Chartered Association Advisor, Dave works to find new ways
to connect DECA’s programs to the marketing curriculum.
Dave recently completed a three-year term on the DECA Inc. Board of Directors, during which he has held
the position of president. He is also a board member of the Michigan Marketing Educators since 1982 as

Janet is a marketing educator at Millard West High School in Millard, NE and has been a DECA certified
trainer since 2011. Janet brings a wealth of experience to her training, having taught marketing in Millard
Public Schools for 30 years. In addition to her responsibilities as a teacher and DECA chapter advisor,
Janet has served three separate terms as president of the Nebraska Association of Marketing Educators.
Her passion for marketing education has not gone unrecognized: she received the Nebraska Outstanding
Marketing Educator Award in 1996 and 2010, the ACTE Nebraska Outstanding Educator Award in
2010, the Outstanding Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year Award in 2010 and the 2014
Association Advisor of the Year Award for Nebraska DECA. Janet holds a BSB as well as a MS in adult

Nicole has been with Nebraska DECA since 2004 and is serving her ninth year as the Nebraska Chartered
Association Advisor. She also serves as the President for the Central Region Board of Governors. Nicole
participated in the first Train the Trainer certification course in 2010 and has had Nebraska representation
each year since. She believes strongly that passionate, prepared and supported chapter advisors are at
the core of a successful chartered association and she works hard to give her teachers what they need to

CURTISHALEYNEVADA DECA
Curtis is currently serving his fifth year as the Nevada DECA Chartered Association Advisor, attending the
inaugural Train the Trainer certification course in 2010. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations
of the chartered association, Curtis also oversees the Nevada DECA officer-coaching program and
routinely provides competition training to Nevada DECA members and advisors.
You might say that becoming the Nevada DECA Chartered Association Advisor was a job Curtis grew
into. His passion for DECA began in his freshman year of high school and took off when he started
winning competitions. During his DECA tenure, he won three trophies at ICDC and placed in the top
ten of his competitive events all four years. Not content with winning competitions, Curtis sought and
achieved leadership roles in DECA, serving as the Oregon DECA state president in 2005 -2006 and
president of National DECA during the 2006-2007 school year. Curtis was awarded the prestigious
Presidential Scholarship at the University of Oregon and graduated summa cum laude with BS degrees in
both economics and political science.

Collegiate DECA in New Jersey. Jeff has been involved with DECA since entering high school and held
officer positions on the high school, collegiate and alumni levels of DECA.
Prior to joining DECA full time, Jeff spent 15 years in the hospitality and service industries, where he
held management and executive roles on both the operational and headquarters levels. He is also an

Richard Faulkner has worked with DECA programs in several capacities since 2000, first as a volunteer
at Rio Grande High School, and then as the DECA advisor in the fall of 2002. Richard is currently one of
two Advisors at La Cueva High School. Additionally, he has served on the New Mexico DECA Board of
Directors, including the position of Board Chair, since 2006. During that time he has helped to establish
the NM DECA Advisor Academy to help new and established DECA Advisors to begin their school years
with the latest information for their classrooms and build camaraderie among fellow DECA Advisors of
New Mexico. This Academy also partners new advisors with veterans to work together throughout the
year. Richard has also helped mentor DECA advisors of new chapters at Manzano High School and St.
Pius High School. Richard notes, “because of the many advisors who have helped me grow when I first
began, I consider it my obligation to give back to other advisors joining DECA.”

Ray Henderson is a Lead Instructor in MBA Research’s High School of Business™ program and a DECA
advisor at Los Alamos High School in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Through his dedication and expertise,
Ray restarted the DECA chapter at Capital High School in Santa Fe, NM from 25 students in 2009 to 407
students by 2015! Under his leadership, numerous students have advanced to the DECA International
Career Development Conference. He contributes his success to the Project-based Learning (PBL)
curriculum from both the High School of Business™ program and DECA’s Comprehensive Learning
Program. Ray has utilized his knowledge on PBL by presenting at the 2015 ICDC New Advisor Academy.
Aside from serving as a chapter advisor, Ray is a member of the Board of Directors for NM DECA as well

Pamela O’Brien has served North Carolina DECA for the past fifteen years as the Chartered Association Advisor.
She is a certified marketing educator with over twenty five years experience. Pam served on the National DECA
competitive event task force for four years and was awarded the Outstanding Service Award for her time, expertise
and commitment given to DECA. She is currently serving a three-year term on the National DECA Board of Directors
representing the Southern Region.
A seasoned classroom teacher, DECA advisor, and presenter, Pam has been trained in Total Quality Management,
Curriculum Development, Classroom Management, and Membership Development. Pam has worked tirelessly to see
North Carolina DECA’s membership increase an impressive 26% over the past three years. She founded NC DECA
Friends and Alumni as a link to continuing the tradition of excellence for NC DECA’s members both past and present.
In recognition of her dedication to the local community, she was recently recognized and honored as the Tar Heel of
the Week. Pam’s enthusiasm and excitement for anything DECA is contagious!

GINGERHILLSOUTH CAROLINA DECA
Ginger has served as a DECA Certified Trainer since 2013. She began working with South Carolina DECA
32 years ago as a student intern. From there she became a chapter advisor, state officer advisor, staff
member and now serves as the South Carolina Chartered Association Advisor. Today, Ginger leads a
team of five staff members and over 40 chapter advisors as they prepare over 1,000 student members to
lead their generation to success.
During her six-year tenure as association advisor, Ginger has grown chapter membership, developed
business partnerships, established alumni networks and worked countless hours to organize events to
establish South Carolina DECA as one of the leading chartered associations within DECA. As she and
her staff continue to build alumni networks and business partnerships, Ginger works to encourage the
chartered association and chapter advisors to elevate their academic goals to allow South Carolina

RYANWITZIGVIRGINIA DECA
Ryan is entering her seventh year as the Virginia DECA Chartered Association Advisor and has been a DECA certified trainer since 2010. She is a high-energy and passionate trainer who is admired for her fun and innovative approaches to advisor training. Prior to serving as the Virginia Chartered Association Advisor, Ryan spent five years in the classroom as a marketing teacher and DECA advisor, where she more than tripled membership.
As a veteran trainer, Ryan understands her audience and believes that no two workshops can be developed the same. She uses creative approaches to reach the large number of Virginia DECA advisors and develops activities that connect DECA and classroom instruction. She understands the pull today’s teachers and advisors feel and is determined to provide training that is worth their time and will help them advance as a DECA advisor.
Ryan received a BS in occupational technical studies with an emphasis in marketing education from Old Dominion University. She received her master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in non-
profit organizations from the Keller’s Graduate School of Management.

SARAHWILLIAMS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION, DECA INC.
Sarah Williams is the newly appointed Assistant Director of DECA Inc.’s High School Division. Upon completing the 2015-2016 Train the Trainer Certification Course, Sarah held the position of Tennessee CTE specialist for both DECA and FBLA. Sarah began her teaching career in 2003 at Karns High School in Knoxville, Tennessee and continued instructing at Alcoa High School in Alcoa, Tennessee. Sarah pioneered the marketing education and DECA programs at both schools and was active with business-related programs and student organizations.
Sarah’s passion for CTE led her to serve multiple roles within Tennessee DECA, from local chapter advisor to district conference coordinator to state officer coach and Tennessee DECA Chartered Association Advisor. Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource development and a master’s in business/marketing education from the University of Tennessee as well as an Ed.S. from Lincoln Memorial University.
