2. Pontiac’s Rebellion- Chief Pontiac of the Ottawa joined with Miami, Huron, Shawnee, and Delaware against the British – tried to drive out settlers and give up European practices. Rebellion failed, Pontiac surrendered but remained an important leader.

3. As a result of Pontiac’s rebellion, the British government passed the ProclamationProclamation of 1763 1763 which banned any further settlement westwest of the AppalachianAppalachian Mountains creating a line between colonial and Indian lands.
