The Rejoicing John heard . . .

Revelation 19:1-2After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for his judgments are true and just; for he has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality, and has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”

Rejoicing over Babylon’s fall!

Revelation 19:3-5Once more they cried out, “Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up forever and ever.” And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!” And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.”

Rejoicing over Bride’s wedding!

Revelation 19:7-8Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”—for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

John 14:2-3In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

First century Jewish wedding customs (Marriage Supper/Feast)

Revelation 19:9And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

Revelation 19:10Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The Return John saw (vv. 11-21)

- He is called Faithful and True- His eyes like a flame of fire (he sees all!)- Upon his head is not a crown but many - His robe is dipped in blood- His name is the Word of God - He will rule the nations with a rod of iron- He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty

The Rider is Jesus Christ!

- And on his robe and thigh … his name is written, “King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Can there be any doubt that this is none other than Jesus Christ?

The Rider is Jesus Christ!

Revelation 19:17-18Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, “Come, gather for the great supper of God, to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.”

The Return John saw (vv. 11-21)

Revelation 19:19And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.

The Return John saw (vv. 11-21)

Revelation 19:20And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

The Return John saw (vv. 11-21)

Revelation 19:21And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

The Return John saw (vv. 11-21)

How long does this battle last?

Revelation 19:20And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet.

There is coming a day when Jesus Christ who was last seen publically

hanging on a cross, will return to this earth wearing a crown(s)!

His groaning and humiliation will be replaced with glory and exaltation!

-Back then Jesus rode a donkey; But here, Jesus rides a white horse!

- Back then Jesus faced his enemies alone; But here he is followed by the armies of heaven!

- Back then Jesus wore a crown of thorns; But here, Jesus wears many kingly crowns!

- Back then the robe of Jesus was stripped off his back; but here Jesus is wearing a robe dipped in his own royal blood.

- Back then he was silent before his enemies; But here he speaks the word of God, a sword that will destroy his enemies!

- Back then he had a sign meant for mockery nailed to his cross that read, “The King of the Jews;” But here he has a name written upon his robe and thigh, “King of kings and Lord of lords.”

There is coming a day when Jesus Christ who was last seen publically
