THE CHALLENGEVIRTUS Data Centres, a private equity backed data centre operator in London, sought quarterly market reports and consultancy to form part of its business review process for its management team and investors.
CBRE was tasked with creating a bespoke London-market report for VIRTUS, updated quarterly, and presenting the information in a Q&A format to VIRTUS’ management team.
OUR SOLUTIONWe were able to produce a regular quarterly report and presentation for the VIRTUS, which helped build the group’s business strategy. In the last five years for VIRTUS has become one of the most successful colocation providers in Europe, selling a large number of MW across its London portfolio.

THE CHALLENGEOur client was assessing the acquisition of a European data centre
company. CBRE’s DCS Research team was appointed to advise STAR Capital Partners on the deal.
OUR SOLUTIONWe quickly provided both commercial and technical analysis. The scope of our remit included current and future market insight, risk analysis, competitor overview, target company business plan review, specific facility review, industry
standards benchmarking, Q&A and final recommendations.
THE RESULTThe client benefited from receiving this commercial and technical analysis in one report, from one team. STAR Capital partners subsequently acquired the target company and the shareholders have committed c.60 million Euro in growth capital.
