. In the Republic of Macedonia there are two maincontamination areas: I. North-Western part of Republic of Macedonia has beencontaminated with landmines (antipersonnel mines PMA and PMR,and antitenk mines PMT) and unexploded ordinances (UXO). Thiscontamination was a result of the conflict between armed groups ofethnic Albanians and Macedonian government forces in 2001 and itwas spreat in the region by the border between Republic ofMacedonia and Serbia and Montenegro, region of Tetovo,Kumanovo and Skopje. -

II . Region near the border between Republic of Macedonia and Greace, from Gevgelija to Ohrid with 250 km. long area, region of Berovo, region of Bitola-Prilep contaminated with huge amounts of UXO left behind since the First and Second World War.

Planing and coordination of the demining and clearance In September 2001 in accordance with the United NationsMine Action Strategy (UNMAS), United Nations MineAction Service opened national office (UNMAO) in Skopjeto plane and to coordinate the activities in the NW part of RofMacedonia. These activities were performed by these:

Presentations
In 2001 and 2002 were held 1032 presentations, included 2.500 domesatic citizens and 14.500 domesatic children.
In 2003 were held 265 presentations, included 3589 domesatic citizens and 3157 domesatic children.

CONCLUSION- The number of 4000 APMs stoket for training purposes- The Parlaiament the Republic of Macedonia’s on 6 May this year was adopted Protokol 2 of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.- MOD of the Republic of Macedonia to proceed the adoption the Protokols 4 and 5 of the CCW.
