Funded by an award from NESTA’s Digital R&D Fund for the Arts

An investigation into how to establish a connected wifi and 4G platform to allow artists to present an immersive digital and interactive experience for their audience.

Blast Theory’s live transmission project “I’d Hide You” was used as a pilot.

Questions we looked to explore

• What kind of production and technical teams are needed to support a public space as a digital arts space?

• What aspects of performance in the city do audiences find most exciting?• How can institutions use digital media to reach out beyond the bounds of

theatres and galleries and who are the new potential audiences?• What kind of place does performance in a digital public space make? How

do audiences engage? For how long? Referred by what networks?
