Online Meditation and Mindfulness Intervention Course Learning

Development Supplement.

Remix My Mind is an online meditation based intervention course, designed for 10-12 year old students in underserved communities.

The purpose of meditation is to become peaceful, clear, and more focused, attributes desperately needed for the many unique challenges facing today’s youth.

There are studies that demonstrate the positive (prosocial) impact of mindfulness based activities for stress reduction and promotion of positive emotional, behavioral, and educational development for at risk students (Dariotis, 2010).

Course activities organized andstructured, necessary componentsof an asynchronous learning environment. (EDU 2.0 LearningManagement System).

Meditation and Mental Awareness Activitiesallows students to become aware of their ownthinking, and create strategies to helpthem improve it (Crain, 2005).

Instructors, meditation mentors, and students can track individual progress.
