TOWARDS A MODERN RENAISSANCEUniversities harnessing global imagination

and unlocking the talents of all people,

throughout the world,

to

co-identify,

co-create and

flourishing futures with external partners

ACADEMIC ENTERPRISE INSTEAD OF “3RD TASK”

• Enterprising in the way they develop leading edge opportunities, with high academic values - solving real world issues and problems

• Engaging with Strategic Partners who bring their own expertise and imagination to co-create with them > can’t do it separately

• Such Higher Academic Enterprises are truly collaborative and keep energy going by working in ways that could not happen without all expertise

• HEI activity looks different with the added contributions of partners > more than the sum of its constituents

• Innovations fit for the Knowledge Economy/Society

ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP: MODEL FOR PLACE BASED LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

University/region value added

LEADING ACADEMIC ENTERPRISE

1. Co-identify real world problems worth of exploration

2. Co-create and co-design products and processes making a real impact

3. Co-produce such solutions for sustainable good enabling universities and their partners to flourish

They are Universities and academics who want to be part of innovative action

and not just global discussion –

they want to do something with their knowledge to make a real difference.

“ucll students take up responsibility in refugee crisis”

Studenten UCLL nemen verantwoordelijkheid op in

vluchtelingencrisis DOOR REDACTIE - 14 SEPTEMBER 2015 - 3500 - SAMENLEVING

Truiden.
