ThisdocumentisalegallybindingagreementbetweenyouandGetDataPtyLtdABN79100297149("GetData"),thedeveloperofthesoftwareprogram"RecoverMyFiles"("Software").PermissiontousetheSoftwareandanydocumentationincludedwiththeSoftware("Documentation")isconditionaluponyouagreeingtothetermssetoutbelow.ByinstallingorotherwiseusingtheSoftwareyouagreetobeboundbythetermsofthisagreement.Ifyoudonotwishtoaccepttheterms,donotinstallorusetheSoftwareand(ifusingaCD-ROM)returntheSoftwareandDocumentationtoGetDatainitsoriginalpackagingwithin14daysofreceivingtheSoftware.

The"StandardLicense"permitsyoutoinstallandusetheSoftwareonasinglecomputeror,intheeventthatyouhavepurchasedmultiplelicenses,toinstalltheSoftwareconcurrentlyonmultiplecomputersequivalenttothenumberoflicensesthatyouhavepurchased.ThestandardlicensedoesnotallowyoutousetheSoftwaretoperformcommercialdatarecoveryservicesforotherparties.

The"ProfessionalLicense"permitsyoutoinstallandusethesoftwareonasinglecomputeror,intheeventthatyouhavepurchasedmultiple

licenses,toinstalltheSoftwareconcurrentlyonmultiplecomputersequivalenttothenumberoflicensesthatyouhavepurchased.ThestandardlicensedoesnotallowyoutousetheSoftwaretoperformcommercialdatarecoveryservicesforotherparties.

The"DataRecoveryTechnician"licenseisprovidedonahardwaredongleonly.Itallowsthelicenseholdertoinstallthesoftwareonathirdpartycomputerandactivateitwiththedongleforthepurposeofperformingdatarecoveryservices.

Youarenotpermittedtosharethelicense,productactivationinformation,orhardwaredonglefortheSoftwarewithotherusers.

Unlessyouhavepurchasedmultiplelicenses,thislicensedoesnotpermityoutoloadorusetheSoftwareonanetworkserverorsimilardevicewhichpermitsaccessbymultiplecomputers

GetDatamayfromtimetotimereviseorupdatetheSoftwareandshallmakesuchrevisionsorupdatesavailablesubjecttopaymentoftheapplicablelicensefee.SupportfortheSoftwareisprovidedattheproductwebsite.

TheSoftwareandDocumentationisprotectedunderAustralianlawandinternationallawandinternationalconventionsandtreaties.Youmaynotrent,lease,sublicense,assignorotherwisetransferuseoftheSoftwaretootherswithouttheexpresswrittenpermissionofGetData.DoingsowillentitleGetDatatoimmediatelyterminatethisAgreement.

WhereShouldIInstallRecoverMyFiles?

Iffileswererecentlydeleted,thereisahighprobabilityofsuccess;

Fileslocatedwillhavetheiroriginalfilenamesandfolderstructureintact.

Followingafiledeletion,subsequentactivityonthecomputermayleadtoFileSystemrecordsforthesefilesbeingdestroyed.A"LostFile"isafilethathasbeendeletedwhichnolongerhasaFileSystemrecord(e.g.andentryintheMicrosoftFATorMFT),butthecontentofthefileremainsonthediskandcanberecovered.

JBOD(JustaBunchOfDisks)isatermtodescribethegroupingofodd-sizeddrivesintoonelargerusefuldrive.Foreexample,aJBODcouldcombine3GB,15GB,5.5GB,and12GBdrivesintoalogicaldriveat35.5GB,whichisoftenmoreusefulthantheindividualdrivesseparately.

ARAID0(alsoknownasastripesetorstripedvolume)splitsdataevenlyacrosstwoormoredisks(striped)withnoparityinformationforredundancy.ItisimportanttonotethatRAID0wasnotoneoftheoriginalRAIDlevelsandprovidesnodataredundancy.RAID0isnormallyusedtoincreaseperformance,althoughitcanalsobeusedasawaytocreateasmallnumberoflargevirtualdisksoutofalargenumberofsmallphysicalones.

ARAID0canbecreatedwithdisksofdifferingsizes,butthestoragespaceaddedtothearraybyeachdiskislimitedtothesizeofthesmallestdisk.Forexample,ifa120GBdiskisstripedtogetherwitha100GBdisk,thesizeofthearraywillbe200GB.
