After the success of our inaugural RBSA Charity Auction in 2017, we are delighted to be holding another this year!

BonhamsAuctioneershavekindlyofferedtoruntheauctionforus,andDeutscheBankhaveverygenerouslyagreedtohost.TheauctionisbeingheldinconjunctionwithoneofDeutscheBank’sUKCharitiesoftheYear,CureLeukaemia.
CureLeukaemiahelpstobringpioneeringdrugandtransplanttreatmentstobloodcancerpatients.ThecharityhelpsfinancetheinternationallyrenownedCentreforClinicalHaematologyatQueenElizabethHospitalinBirminghamandkeyCentresacrosstheUK,tofundlife-saving,andsometimesworldfirst,clinicaltrialstotreatpatientswithbloodcancerwhohaveexhaustedstandardtreatmentoptions.Withouttheexpertresearchnursestoensurepatientsareconstantlymonitoredandcaredforthesetrialswouldnotrunandpatientswouldmisstheopportunitytoaccesspotentiallylife-savingtherapies.
TheaimofCureLeukaemiaistoraisemoneytofundmoreresearchnursesandworld-classtreatmentforitspatients.Onlybyfundingmorenursesinmorehospitals,canmorebloodcancerpatientsbenefitfromaccesstopotentiallylife-savingtreatment.
Why this event is important...
TheRBSAisavisualartscharity.OurGalleryisopeneverydaywithfreeadmission.Ourannualprogrammeincludes15majorexhibitions,3designer-makercraftdisplaysand18soloshows.Wealsoprovidefreeartistdemonstrationsandtalks,anddeliverartworkshopsforallabilities.
TheRBSAisnotcorefunded.Thismeanswedonotreceiveanyregularfinancialsupportfromlocalornationalgovernment.Therefore,weneedtoraisefundstokeepourGalleryopen.
WearealsoproudtoholdthiseventinconjunctionwithCureLeukaemia,acharitythatnotonlyhelpssavelivesintheMidlandsandbeyondbutisalsohelpingaccelerateglobalprogresstowardstheeradicationofallformsofbloodcancerwithin25years.
