NOT ALL SOURCES ARE CREATED EQUAL

Not every source you find will be reliable. This is especially true for sources you find on the internet.

RELIABLE SOURCES

The major electronic resources are information databases , online reference books, and subscriptions-based online services for various academic disciplines.

RELIABLE SOURCES

Wikipedia is NOT a reliable source!! It is not acceptable to use it !!!

SOURCES NOT IN THE LIBRARY

Occasionally, student will want to bring sources from home. Many times this is acceptable; however, I will still need to approve these sources to make sure there is not inappropriate material.

You must use at least 1 BOOK and 1 article. The third required source can be one of your choosing.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD SOURCE

A good source is less than 5 years old. However, with the resources in our library sometimes this is not possible.

A good source references other authors and provides statistics that have been proven.

A good source is FACT and not OPINION!
