Some Insights• What counts as green (new) vs. blue (familiar)? Depends on user and

use….how much a difference doe this distinction make?– Creating an account in general vs. Creating an account for this specific site

• To be more effective in persuading users: DailyBooth could employ more span behaviors (bit of a jump from dot to path)

• But maybe a lighter or more random use of the email notifications – 24 hour notice was designed for their original goal to get users to take a “daily”

photo for 365+ days to see how your face changes…now, new goal is just documenting/sharing your life—need to update the trigger design!

• Lots of immediate Green and Blue dot behaviors act as early positive feedback/reinforcement for habit formation (it feels rewarding)

• Push triggers for social participation in new users. For example: Having followers is a big deal (people expect things of you). Commenting on other people’s photo blurbs/answering their questions is encouraged. Being part of an epic photo thread post is fun.

• Photos are compelling and fun. Dailybooth has potential to be used in other ways…e.g. as a sort of habit/goal/update logging/tracking mechanism.
