MOTOR VEHICLEASSISTANCE SYSTEM

Amit Mahesh Agustin Denis Pawan

Our Project

Motor Vehicle Assistance System (MVAS) is a project that would enable car users and mechanics to use existing technologies to save money, time, and built trust and good relationship with mechanics and car users.

The service would use an On-Board Diagnostic Device (OBD-ll) that would communicate with any OBD-ll enabled car (starting models 2002 onwards) and read back and share real time data, perform basic performance testing and diagnostics which can be easily transmitted to smartphones via Bluetooth.

This would alert you of the real time diagnostics of your car and it can notify also your designated mechanic for any faults and malfunctions that may occur.

What we want to do now?

This solution is first of its kind, the technology however our intention was to make a solution which makes a car users life simpler and saves them both time and money.

When exploring a direction we carried out many types of research including going to AA, NZTA and many car mechanics.

We decided to have the project just do problem detection and reporting solution in the first phase of this project and this would be an ice-breaker for the project and just the tip of the iceberg of what this solution can offer.

Our Status and Future Recommendations• We have identified the market which can make use of this technology and

business idea which is customer’s using Japanese cars manufactured after 2002.• We would use mobile application platform on which we would like to deliver

this solution and it can be available on both Android and Apple app stores.• This project involves use of OBD2 device which can be imported from china and

can easily be white labelled and shown as the OEM of the company selling the solution.

• The car market which needs to be address has to be clear before ordering the OBD as they are not compatible with all car types that would help us order different variants to address most of the models available in the market. Further Study on this would needed to be carried out.

Conclusion

• The project stands as a study and we know there is a business market for it.• This idea would be need to be shown to a party who would interested in

developing it and deploying it as it is very promising.• We have identified revenue streams during our discussion and we know this

business idea is feasible to deploy.• This idea is evolvable as the OBD device is capable of doing more than just

reporting diagnostic errors.• We expect the development for this project to go live would need

automotive and electrical engineers combined with a team of software developers and networking engineers to ensure the networking between different connectivity modules are working.

Thank You We enjoyed developing this project, hope you like it.
