2. INTRODUCTION ON EASY DAY Consumer retail department stores
which is wholly owned by Bharti Enterprise Limited. It was named as
EASY DAY when it was introduced in the market in Feb. 2007 The
first easyday store was launched in Ludhiana and easyday Market in
Jalandhar in 2008. Easyday entered in Madhya Pradesh market with
the launch of its first compact-hyper store in Indore Located at
Malhaar mall at A.B. Road. Mr. Andrew Lever more is Chief Operating
Officer of easy day for M.P region. A unique feature of this easy
day Market is the 'Youth Zone' dedicated to youth-oriented products
like music, books, movies, apparels, cosmetics among others The
number of stores functional is 228 across three different formats
catering to about 76,000 customers every day Easy day has
aggressive plans for expansion and is aiming to have 332 stores by
December 2013 and later 638 stores by December 2018.

habits of customer. To know the major factors considered by
customers while shopping in easy day stores. To know the different
class of customers shopping in easy day. To understand the various
promotional activities undertaken by the easy day. To know the

the key parameters for the performance evaluation of retail stores
by consumers. To analyze the preferences for various retail formats
by consumers from varied demographics. To identify the organized
retail formats perceived as best on the basis of the identified
performance evaluation parameters.

5. MARKETING STRATEGIES OF EASY DAY Aim to provide significant
savings to customers by offering them products at everyday low
prices so that customers can save money and use these savings to

promise of low prices But also ensures that the valued customers
get a perfect mix of merchandise of high quality at significantly

6. Information Technology Bar code verifier works the way a
reader does, but instead of simply decoding a barcode, a verifier
performs a series of tests Tellzon Software machine which determine
the stock quantity in the systems. Data Warehouse purchase data
collected at the pos collected in a huge data called data ware
house. Electronic Data Interchange which connects between vendor
and retailers through EDI CPFR which collaborate
planning,forcasting and replacement RFID real time tracking of the
product from mgf to check out in the stores.
7. Supply chain management The store functions round the clock
. It is divided in three shifts. 1.Morning shift(7:00 AM- 3:00 PM)
2.Evening shift(3:00 PM-10:00 PM) 3.Night shift (10:00 PM-7:00 AM)
In the night shift daily indents of fruits, vegetables and dairy
products reach the store. Merchandise is laid by customer
associates and the store is made ready for customers by 7:00 am.
The store manager updates the current stock. The rate list sent by
the head office is revised ,and so is the dumping list. Perishable
products are put on discounts throughout the day , as and when they
deteriorate. The stock is calculated at the end of the day , and
the cash manager tallies the cash balance. Store is wound up for
customers at 10:00 pm.

11. CONCLUSION We have demonstrated out team skills, ethical
behavior, and time management. We have observed various functioning
of the store management. We have also learn how to analyze the form
and their improvement should be on their billing sections and
customer service also.
