THE BUSBYmore than just your ordinary laundry room

HISTORY The student oriented laundry room,

also known as the Busby is a well known place in Owen Hall, located on the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette. The Busby challenges the stereotypes of average laundry rooms by providing a laid back, fun environment.

The Busby has a large amount of washers and dryers available for students.

If students have delicate items they need to hand wash, the Busby provides a sink designated for proper washing.

One benefit of the Busby is saving money on doing laundry. If a student previously puts money on their laundry account, they can swipe their Purdue I.D. and receive a wash and a dry for cheaper rather than paying full price with quarters.

The Busby provides easy access to the dryers by these tables. The tables have wheels attached so that a student can transfer their clothes from the dryer to the table and have a place to fold their laundry.

Along with providing students with a nice

facility to do laundry, the Busby offers so much

more.

The Busby is an excellent place for students to hang out. They provide a comfortable atmosphere with their couches and

television.

Although the Busby has a great recreational section, one important aspect is providing a great place for studying sessions.

For the students who are not into television or do not have homework to complete, the Busby provides students the room to eat dinner, converse and have a good time with other students.

If students need a break from studying, there is a wide variety of snacks.

The Busby provides a microwave and an ice machine.
