Progressive ScalesThe purpose of this exercise is to develop left hand shape in a traditional hand shape.With the exception of the first and last measure, each measure will be played in twopositions, one for the first two-beats and one for the final two beats.

String CrossingThe string crossing exercise builds upon a progressive scale. This exercise ads a lowerlower string articulation between each note of the progressive scale. The purpose is tohelp develop right hand finger flexibility and precise string crossings.
