1. Implementation of video-processing algorithms on OMAP platform from Texas Instruments
Description:
1) Possible approaches of implementation of computer vision applications on ARM based
Systems-no-Chip.
2) OpenCV library and the build procedure of OpenCV library for desired platform.
3) Description of fast image processing, object tracking and object detection algorithms.
4) Examples of implementation of image processing algorithms and computer vision applications
on OMAP 3 platform.
Upon completion this part of seminar, participants will learn:
1) How to build OpenCV library for desired platform.
2) Some image processing algorithms that can run on OMAP 3 platform (Beagleboard-xM) in
real-time.
Lecturer: A. Varfolomieiev (Approximate duration of the seminar: 90-120 minutes)
2. New FPGA from Altera with an ARM-based core
Description:
1) The benefits of FPGA for "System-on-a chip" (SoC) creation
2) The features of Cyclone V and Arria V families of ALTERA
3) SoC Design Methodology
4) Hardware architecture of the ARM Cortex-A9 processor core
5) The interaction of ARM processor with FPGA
6) The configuration of the processor core with Qsys-utility
Upon completion this part of seminar, participants will learn:
1) Benefits of FPGA architecture to create "SoC."
2) The architecture of FPGA families Cyclone V and Arria V with integrated hardware processor core.
3) Basic principles of interaction of the embedded processor core with an array of programmable
logic.
4) The capability of the Qsys-utility for ARM-processor configuration.
