RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize production• Liaise with Director• Schedule production• Prepare budget• Negotiate• Oversee location hunt• Liaise with authority

• Monitor finances• Keep on schedule• Deal with personnel• Buck stops with you• Look after paperwork• Check next day good• Wrap up production

DIRECTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Artistic look of film• Shot composition and

selection• Develop vision and

how to achieve it• Select cast and crew• Decide locations• Direct rehearsals

• Direct performances• Direct technical

aspects• Work with DOP• Work with Editor• Decide cuts, etc• Motivate team to

produce their best

DOP/CAMERA

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create visual heart of film

• Discuss visuals with director

• Prepare technical side• Test lenses, stock, etc• Blocking shots• Oversee lighting• Check next day

PRODUCTION SOUND

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Discuss with director creative sound use

• Microphone placement

• Check locations• Check sound quality

after each shot• Send sound files by

ISDN to editor

EDITOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with director before shooting

• Begin editing during production

• Check technical standards

• Sense of story• Review performances

• Editor and director work on edit

• First assembly viewed by key crew

• Supervisory role on sound editing and mix

• Create rhythm and pace
