Parti Sketch
• Basic physical and spatial components of a design• Primary use is to show the basic elements and components of a
design in simple and direct manner • Useful in developing an understanding of compositional aspects of
design• Helpful in clarifying the design
PARTI SKETCH
Iterative Sketch
• Iterative means repetition of a mathematical or computational process
• Designers evolve and refine sketches• Either by manual drafting or by using
computer software • Decisions regarding size, proportion,
material, colour selection, and visual quality will have been explored and generally made.

• Also referred to as construction drawings, working drawings, or contract documents
• Given by designers to fabricators for pricing and fabrication.
• Designers eliminate remaining designs before fabrication
