Preservation Week Speakers Bureau
ALA encourages libraries and other institutions to use Preservation Week to connect our communities
through events, activities, and resources that highlight what we can do to preserve our personal and
shared collections.
The Preservation Week Speakers Bureau is a directory of library and archival professionals who are

present on the general preservation of collections or specific topics such as papers, photographs, stuffed

I usually do whole day workshops on Book Repair and Preservation. I can change my presentation for
different crowds. I have taught students, archivists, public librarians, genealogists and even historians in
a variety of age groups.
Supplies should be covered for the book repair workshops. I often call vendors for endorsement. I
really enjoy teaching and outreach so I go out of my way to volunteer for these types of important
training workshops.
