Structure

How to write poem.

Poem is a form of literary art in which language is used to show its beauty and has the meaning in it.

Stanza is a definite group of two or more lines.

Stanza

These are the usual forms of the stanza.

1) The couplet is a stanza of 2 lines.2) The triplet is a stanza of 3 lines.

3) The quatrain is a stanza of 4 lines. 4)The chinquain is a stanza of 5 lines.

Example

Venus has thick clouds,That hide what is below.The air is foul, the ground is hot,

It rotates very slow.

Rhyme

Rhyme is a repetition of similar sounds in two or more words and is most often used in poem and songs .

the forms of rhyme

1)Alliteration is the repetition of similar consonantal sounds.

Example

Mars is very red.It's also dry and cold.Someday you might visit MarsIf you are really bold.

2)Assonance is the repetition of similar vowel sounds.
