Debt crisis• Reasons: financial collapse of American banks and companies in
2008 and Greece had falsified their statistics about their
economy for years
• The collapse of Greece would shake the economies of the
southern European countries and would endanger the currently
instable Eurozone.• In May 2010 the other Eurozone countries, and the IMF, agreed
to a rescue package which involved giving Greece an immediate
€45 billion in loans, with more funds to follow, totaling €110
billion. • Despite austerity measures it does not seems certain that
Grecce is able to solve their debt problems.
