As a group, we have decided to create a new music video for Forgiveness by Wretch 32 ft Etta Bond. We found that this song will be suitable for us as the voices match our artist's face/image. Moreover, we all listen to and watch hip-hop music videos, therefore it would be easier for us to create a music video for a hip-hop song.
The original video consisted of one shot of Wretch 32 in a church and a street, and did not add much meaning to the song. Our video will differ from this as we will have a split screen - one side illustrating his past life and the other showing his new life/performance.Our music video will also be shot in a church, to represent forgiveness.
The artist's outfit will be casual, yet sophisticated, as this is most common amongst hip hop videos. Our colour scheme will be monochrome, with hints of yellow/gold.
Our music video will be an illustration of the song and follow the life of a young male who has had problems in the past and now wants to repent - turning over a new leaf. We will have a split screen with one side showing him rapping about his new life, whilst the other shows his previous life.

Our artist's will be wearing black and white, with yellowy/golden tones to represent the album. Their outfit will be smart-casual as the mature audience can relate to the artists - those who are trying to change directions in life for the better. The dress code is taken into account for these people as they would no longer be dressing informally or in a negative stereotypical way.

The initial idea for our music video was derived from listening to the lyrics of the song and understand the meaning. The video we create will be reflection of our interpretations of the lyrics.We then did research on songs on changes to life and forgiveness, and were most inspired by the music video Changes by Tupac. In this video he is looking back at his life; which is similar to our concept. It is also located in a church at times.

Synergywe`ve decided to use two colours which are white and yellowish to match the album cover and music video single. We`ve decided to use these colours because they are the colours that represent forgiveness which is the title to our video.
Her album uses the main colours such as black and white with yellowish filter added on during the video. With the picture below clearly states to us that their is a clear link from the video to the album.

For our video, we`ve chosen to go for an illustration video to follow Andrew Goodwin's theory. Our video's storyline will consist one character with two different timeline thus means that one he will be acting in the past which will be the most part of the video while his present life will be him in a church willing to repent his sins.

Saturday 26th - 11Am - Finsbury Park, interior (Duck pond/lake and roads inside the park which will be empty).
