• is the process by which the a cell combines oxygen with glucose (carbohydrates/food) and releases water, carbon dioxide and energy (ATP).

Chemical Formula for Cellular Respiration

6O2 + C6H12O6 --> 6H2O + 6CO2 + energy

6O2 + C6H12O6 = 6H2O + 6CO2 + energy (ATP)

Sunlight energy + 6CO2 + 6H2O = 6O2 + C6H12O6
