The Results: improved coverage and significant savings.

The client was insured with Fireman’s Fund, the ideal insurance company for their needs. With some modifications their premium was reduced from $120k per year to under $100k and we increased their coverage!

Client Profile – Case Study BExposure:

Client - $60,000 damaged diamond ring.

CSI client was insured with Chartis Insurance. The insured filed a claim on her diamond ring due to a chip. The policy stated the insurance company would pay for “repair/replace, which ever is the lesser”.

Since it was not a total loss the insurance company offered to pay to reduce the diamond size and to remove the chip and pay out the difference in value do to the smaller size. This would have resulted in a $7,000 payout in addition to the cost of the repairs, also paid for by Chartis.

The Results:

After speaking with the client, and our research on the value of the diamond after it was modified, would reduce the value of the diamond. The insured settled with a $21,000 settlement and retained the diamond.

Exposure: $14,000,000 GLASS home in need of insurance Located in the middle of 160 acres Insurance coverage lapsed previously with Lloyds of London, a non-standard company

Pacific Union real estate agent sought out CSI to secure home insurance for the home while on the market.

Result: CSI placed coverage with Chubb insurance, one of the premier insurance companies that focus on high-end homes. This resulted in a $5,000 savings and a much better policy.
