Training High School Students on Plant Tissue Culture and Plant Molecular Genetics@ NSTDA Facility
Training to prepare STEM Workforce : Seed Producer • Collaboration between NSTDA, one university,
one vocational college and 6 local seed companies
• Create curriculum to develop skills for young seed producers and select students who are interested to be a seed entrepreneur to participate in the program
• 27 students participated in the program on Year 1
• Student receives training and on-the-job experience working with seed company for a year, after which he/she will return to their hometown to be a seed entrepreneur
