Parallel and Perpendicular Line Segments
Line segments - a line with a beginning and an end. A piece of a line. You know a line ends when it has dots at each end.
Line segments are labeled with letters.
Intersecting - lines that cross or meet.
Parallel - describes lines in the same plane that never cross, or intersect
- they are marked using "arrows"
Perpendicular - describes lines that intersect at right angles (90 degrees)- they are marked using a small square
