PAPER PLAY
The newspaper has been a part of our daily lives for several centuries.
They have been a way for the public to be informed of events that are
occurring around the world. Newspapers have undergone dramatic
changes over the course of history. Some of the earliest newspapers
date back to Ancient Rome.
It seems that these days, newspapers are heading towards an obsolete
direction. The circulation of all things printed has plummeted. More
and more people are turning to the Internet as the source of culture.
Still, there’s something sort of precious about real, in-hand, black and
gray newsprint; a graphic puzzle of words on that soft, smudgy paper.
However, most people can not imagine that the newspaper will ever
completely disappear. So there will always be newspapers, and thus
there will always be need for green disposal of said newspapers. This
zine contains project ideas for re-purposing newspaper.
These ideas are actually creative and actually useful and may actually
save you some money by replacing something you already use, making
them actually eco-friendly. Ready? Here we go!

DEDICATIONSI’d like to dedicate this zine to all the paper that I’ve accumulated over
the years but cannot part with easily. I believe that everything can have
a second chance at being recycled, re-purposed or put to another use.
And I’d also like to dedicate this to my love, Rich, for putting up with
my paper hoarding.
