Dressage Rally with Donna Wellington
Another Green Horse Rally was a success this month, check out the photos inside.
Green Horse Rally with Yvonne Steers
What great rallies we’ve been having lately. Thank you to Sharon Libby for organising our fantastic May Dressage Rally - we had Donna Wellington come and give a 90 minute lesson to 4 groups of four. Being one of the lucky ones to secure a spot, I enjoyed first hand not only the great advice of a top rate dressage coach, but also the relaxed and beautiful atmosphere of the Montana Horse Arena.
We also have a big thank you to Sue Fraser for organising Yvonne Steers to host another Green Horse and Rider Rally. We have held two now and they have been enormously popular.
We ask people to be patient though, as this type of rally (along with the dressage rally) means that there are only a certain amount of spots available. As we have 100 members give or take, we are trying to be very fair and give people a go who missed out the last time, and spacing them out so we have more conventional rallies too where anyone can show up. Speaking of which...
We are hosting a Show Jump practice rally for members only, free of charge, on 1st July from roughly 10am to 1pm. We’ll be sending out a flier and more info on this as we put the details together. Book the date! :o) It will start off with very low heights and work our way up during the day.
And keep an ear out for a member-organised trek at Willowford Cottage this July! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun, but shoes will most likely be required as apparently there is a bit of shale at the beginning.
Again, I feel like a broken record but we need nominations for the PARC committee. I have decided to stay on for another year now, but I need people to join me, otherwise it will be a very sad year indeed. The reality is this: I will certainly not be able to organise any kind of show or otherwise on my own - so no more PARC shows. Yep that means no Christmas Ribbon Day, no Dressage Jumping Day and no Derby Day next year. Sorry guys, but that’s the black and white of it. Time to step up!
