5.9 Inch Square Paper –
2 pieces – Traditional Table / Spice Holder
With Head
Origami
Reindeer
Container
- 2 pieces of
paper; 7mm
eyes, black
crystal nose;
tan-brown
paper from DAISO shop
search YouTube using Japanese or Chinese kanji for the word deer "origami 驯鹿容器" or Japanese for "origami deer" which is 折り紙トナカイ (all from Google). Here the heads are off on 2 of the 3 models
Each sheet of
paper starts out
5.9 inches
square.
The head ends
being 2.25
inches tall
(bottom edge to
tip of antler) and
a little over 1.5
inches wide
finished
(unfolded - side
to side is around 2.25 inches)
Total height is 4
inches tall in the
front; the tail is
nearly 3 inches
tall; the body (the
container section)
is 1.5 inches tall
with an inside
depth of 0.75
inches; 1.5 X 1.5
square opening (container piece).
You can see
inside the
container
portion with
the tail curl
and how it is
folded
different from
the opposite
side.
I think these
chocolates were
from Target,
maybe Tuesday
Morning... they
are about the
size of the top
most part of my
thumb.
Santa wanted to show you
how the parts look when not
together... He'd been
drinking since the camera's
started rolling...
thankfully He's a happy little
guy...
Reindeer-ing
Around... if you
look at the
reindeer on the
right, you can
see how the
head slides
over the body-
portion. The
base is folded
from a
traditional
origami offering
table or spice holder
The color
contrast with
the sour gum
drops shows
how light the
tan color really
is. The paper
has a raised
pattern of dots
on it, giving the
model texture...
almost like fur...
almost... squint
really hard and you see it
Gag Reel -
Santa talking
smack to the
camera man
about the
lighting...
Camera man
will get the
last word I'm
thinking.
