What is Title I

•Being a Title I school means receiving federal funding (Title I dollars) to supplement the school’s existing programs. These dollars are used for…–Identifying students experiencing academic difficulties and providing timely assistance to help these student’s meet the State’s challenging content standards.

–Purchasing supplemental staff/programs/materials/supplies

–Conducting parental Involvement meetings/trainings/activities

–Recruiting/Hiring/Retaining Highly Qualified Teachers

•Being a Title I school also means parental involvement and parents’ rights.

Bell Schedule

Bell schedule is in the Student Handbook

1st bell is at 7:32 - students should be walking to their lockers or classrooms

2nd bell is at 7:36 - students should report to class

3rd bell is at 7:40 - this is the tardy bell!!!

School ends at 2:50

CHECK OUT

● Only for doctors’ appointments or family emergencies● Preferred after 11:30

Bus RidersCheck out the table in the H.S. Gym to learn about your bus number and meet your bus driver

Car Riders

● ALL car riders need to report to the elementary library to obtain a new number. (Even if you had one last year)

● Please don’t arrive before 7:00.

● School will dismiss at 2:50. Please don’t get into the car line too early as this clogs up the front of the school and would present problems if there happened to be an emergency.

Student Handbook 2014-15All Students will receive the Student Handbook 2014-15 on August 13, 2014.

In eighth grade, students will take on more responsibility as they prepare for high school. They will be expected to:● Write down their assignments and meet due dates ● Avoid absences and take care of make-up work without
