On no! I’ve got to submit a report to the Fiscal on this new web thingy?

Well don’t worry – this presentation will go through some of the procedure and show you what will appear on your screen.

Your PIE and user guide on the disc provided

1st things first

Yes you’ve started

Filled in details of the accused

The accused details

Incident – what incident?

Charge me if you want to

Ok – I will – lets get going

Oh oh! this pick charge bit is hard, but it is in there somewhere

I nearly forgot – click on the save button

A bit of a summary of the facts & evidence

A pop up to confirm that your text is now added to your report.

Section 5 – productions Y/N

The fact that you have productions – has been noted.

This report is down to you!

See the red text – if you have not done something right and try to proceed – you will be told why.

Try this as a unique identifier.

OK – that seems to have worked

Section 8 – lets have another witness

What’s my occupation?

My details as a witness

My details have been saved – who else was there?

Go back to Section 8 first

Add My Lyle as a witness

My Lyle is successfully added as a witness

Add a document – say a food safety application.

Add some brief details.

Good that’s in the report too.

Previous convictions – leave blank

You can submit case related docs here, ie WIP, memos emails etc.

Near the end now – just need a SCRO number

We can’t proceed to the final submission without the SCRO.

Once you have received your SCRO – go back to Sect 2 and edit the bit that says SCRO number.

Put in the SCRO you receive in the individual/company details section

No – that didn’t work – the red text says that something is missing – like the offence date in the charge text

What’s next?

We need to go back to the charge text – and see how that can be amended to put in the offence date, before we can actually request the SCRO, once you have the SCRO and everything appears OK you can print out the SPR details and check all the details before pressing the submission button.

Best of luck – but if you have time –use the practice sessions.

Once you have become accustomed to using this site – you only need to ring the Crown Office Help Desk and ask them to make you live.

Tel 0141 418 6900 providing your name and organisation details. It should take 24 hours. If you are in a hurry go live and hope it all works.
