Purpose of Solar Development

• Address the Energy needs of Navajo Nation Customers• NTUA seeks to maintain lower rates• Will diversify NTUA’s energy supply and create energy

independence• Will provide renewable/clean energy resources to Navajo

residents• Promote the development of new employment opportunities

– Several hundred construction jobs will be available– 5 or more permanent utility jobs to be created
