BLACKTOWN INTERNATIONAL SPORTS PARK CONDITIONS OF HIRE

Baseball NSW has in place the following conditions for the hire of the Baseball Venue at Blacktown International Sportspark

1. All Clubs are to treat the venue with respect. Any damage caused to any part of the venue will result in

fines being issued to the club(s) responsible.

2. BVM ground staff will prepare the ground for each game. Clubs should not interfere with, or hinder the

ground staff in the performance of their duties.

3. Clubs will be advised if there are any changes to ground allocations.

4. If any equipment (screens etc) is used while warming up, it is to be returned to where it was found. If

mats are in place on the field, leave them there. Do not throw screens over the fence.

5. Glass bottles are banned from the venue. If you bring beer into the venue, make sure it is in cans, and

remove the cans when you are finished.

6. Garbage bins are provided in each dugout, and in the change rooms. Clubs who leave rubbish in these

areas will be charged an additional cleaning fee.

7. The canteen will remain open until the completion of the game. If clubs wish to order food for after the

game, please do so as early as possible.

8. All vehicles are to park in the gravel car park behind the main diamond, or the bitumen car park near the

soccer fields. No vehicles are to park on the grass areas, or on the Roadway near Diamond 2. Council

rangers will book any cars parked in violation of Signs.

9. When warming up throw from the dirt, not the foul lines.

10. Take batting practice from the mats provided.

11. Home team is responsible for removing and replacing the cover on home plate.

12. Away team is responsible for removing and replacing the cover on the pitcher’s mound.

13. Both teams are responsible for removing and replacing the covers in their respective bullpens.

14. When leaving the venue late at night, please keep the noise down, and observe speed limits within the

venue.

GAME DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Umpire Notifications

The NSWBUA will advise the Competition Coordinator whenever two umpires are not available for a game. The Draw Coordinator will SMS all delegates. Wet Weather Procedures

The Home team is to contact the following people when their ground is closed due to wet weather/council closure:

o Opposition club, keeping in mind the distance the opposition has to travel o NSW Women's League Competition Coordinator, Lindsay Eden by phone on 0407 436 620 o NSWBUA Umpire Co-ordinator, John Bailey (coordinator@nswbua.org) 0431 552 303

Ground closures will be sms’d to Coaches, Delegates and club Wet Weather officers by the Competition Coordinator as and when advised to the Competition Coordinator.

Results 1. Home team is to SMS box scores to the Competition Coordinator for inputting into the

Competition spreadsheet. • SMS format is to be home team name, #, #, #, total, Away team name, #, #, #,total

2. 1st Grade • Send result sheet via email to the Competition Recorder - Rosemary Neads

(neads@optusnet.com.au) by 9:00pm Monday. 3. 2nd Grade

• Send result sheet via email to the Competition Recorder – Lyn Donald (charles.donald@optusnet.com.au) by 9:00pm Monday.

4. BOTH (2) result sheets for each match are required. 5. Please add a contact number in case the Competition Recorder needs to query any results etc. 6. Ensure that MVP points for the opposite team are included on the results sheet 7. Shall call AAP (9322 8000) on Sunday before the deadline for Monday papers with the following

information: • Indicate Round #, Match Up and the Ground the game was played at • each Grade box scores for all weekend games including the names of pitchers, catchers and

hits. • Note that the sum of the box scores must equal the scores sent by sms at point 1 above.
