GreenMelt®blendedicemeltermaybeusedtoremovesnowandicefromconcretesidewalks,parkinglotsandasphaltsurfaces.However,allice-meltingagentsworkbyreducingthefreezingpointofwater.Thismayresultinmorefrequentfreeze-thawcyclingofthemeltedsnowandice,whichcancausesurfacescalingofconcrete.Assuch,useonlyonproperlyplaced,curedandsealed,air-entrainedconcrete.Tolessenthepossibilityoffreeze-thawcyclingandpotentialdamage,promptlyremoveslushasitisformed.DONOTuseonporousorimproperlycuredconcrete,concretelessthanoneyearold,precastconcreteitems,pavers,masonry,mortar,woodorotherporousmaterials.Aswithanyice-meltingagent,particularcareshouldbeusedwhengrassandvegetationareadjacenttothedeicingsurface,asexcessapplicationmaycausedamage.

Thisproducthasbeentintedforeasy-to-seecoverageonsnowandice.However,residualdiscolorationofconcretemayoccur,especiallyiftheproductisnotusedasdirected,orifmeltedslushisnotclearedawaypromptly.Anymildresidualdiscolorationofconcreteshouldfadeawaynaturallywithinseveralweeks.

Trytoavoidtrackingindoors.Ifproductistrackedontoflooring(tile,carpeting,etc.),simplyapplytapwaterandgentlyspongetheresidueaway.
