The new IFESS association has been constituted by 38 founding members,physically present at the founding meeting, all IFESS lifetime members, and all

IFESSannualmembers.InthetraditionofIFESSweelectedtheIFESSboardofdirectorsandtheIFESSofficerstobecomeexecutiveboardmembersoftheIFESSassociation.Theelectionprocedureofhavingeveryyear3ofthe9boardmembers replacedhasbeenkeptandwillbecontinuedthesameway.The4officersarenowpartof theexecutive board as boardmemberswith special function, i.e. secretary, treasurer, vice-president and president.Theywillalsobeelectedbythegeneralassemblyevery3years, incontinuationof theprocedurethathadbeenestablished by IFESS. Almost all decisions that had to bemade regardingmemberships, and the election of theexecutive board have been made unanimously. There was all in all only one vote against including Lifetimemembersoftheformer IFESSasLifetimemembersofthenewIFESSAssociation.Wealsohadourfirstelections.Election results: on a continuation the IFESSexecutiveboard consists of: Philip Troyk,GadAlon,DingguoZhanguntil end 2018; Christine Azevedo Coste, Ken Yoshida,WinfriedMayr until end 2019; Ines Bersch-Porada, GlenDavis,MilosPopovicuntilend2020. IFESSexecutiveboardmemberswithspecial functionareuntilendof2019:ThierryKeller(President),SimonaFerrante(VicePresident),MichaelFriedrichRussold(Treasurer),ErikaG.Spaich(Secretary). As internal financial auditors CesarMarquez andMichael Baumberger have been elected.ManfredBijakhasbeenelectedasbackupauditor.Congratulationstoalltheelected!NextElections:ournextelectionsforsubstitution of 3 the executive board members (Philip Troyk, Gad Alon and Dingguo Zhang) will start soon.NominationperiodhasbeenopenedattheAGMandwillcloseOctober31,2018.FromtheBoDThomasJanssen,César Marquez, Jonathan Jarvis, Philip Troyk, Gad Alon and Dingguo Zhang have been nominated.
