After following the steps in this tutorial, you will be able to create your own Google Scholar
library. Additionally, you will be able to organize your Google Scholar library according to
your own labels.
1. Search for Google Scholar
Using the internet browser of your choice, search for "Google Scholar".

2. Select "Google Scholar" from the search results
Google Scholar will likely be the first result.

3. Sign in to your Google account
When you click sign in in the upper right hand corner of the Google Scholar screen, you
will be prompted to enter your Gmail address and password. If you do not have a
Google account, you will be prompted to create one. You need to be logged in to your
Google account in order to use your Google Scholar library.

4. Search for articles
In order to create your library, search for a topic. In this example, we will search for
"online learning". You can change your search preferences below the search bar, if you
would like.

5. Review results and save articles to your library
You can look at the articles using the links before you decide which articles you would
like to save in your library. To save an article, click "SAVE" directly below the article.

5. Select "My library" to review your selectedarticles
When you want to look at your library, select "My library" from the left-hand side of the
screen.

6. Organize your library
After placing articles in your library, you can organize the articles. The actions available
in your library are labeled below.

7. Create a "new label" tag
You can tag your articles according to your preferences. For this example, we will
create a tag called "online learning". After clicking "Manage labels", select "Create a
new label".

8. Choose a new label name
Think of the label you would like to create, type the label, and press "create".

9. Go back to your library
Press the back arrow to go back to your library.

10. Check mark the articles you would like to label
Once you know what articles you would like to label, click the check mark box to the left
of the article.

11. Select the "tag" option
Use the "tag" option to label the selected articles. Click the check mark box to the left of
the label, followed by "apply" to organize the articles.

12. View the labeled articles
You can now use the selection on the left that is the same as the tag you set. In this
example, we placed two articles in the online learning tag. If you would like to manage
your labels again, just select "Manage labels".
