On the 23 April 2019 Harrogate Borough Council formally designated the Staveley and Copgrove Neighbourhood Area.

This is the first step towards Staveley and Copgrove Parish Council developing a neighbourhood plan which will form part of the development plan for the district. The boundary of this area follows the parish council boundary.
