This means actual practice in-front of a person other than yourself.If we are thoroughly prepared (The Why) and we have practiced, we will be ready to present. The effect will be that the audience will see a confident, well prepared professional. If we try and wing it, the audience will know, and more importantly, we will know. This knowing causes the stage-freight and loss of words.
