Session Focus Children will investigate different colours outdoors.

• Read the eBook Spike’s Spikes together.• Talk about how he made a mistake, but put

things right in the end, with patience. • Children are to work together to help Spike re-

build the rainbow by spotting, matching and (maybe) collecting colours in their outdoor environment.

ExtensionWhen complete, can the children re-build a rainbow pattern with the colours they find? Which colours were there lots of/ not much of?
