Around the monument is a park that is in the shape of a large circle. The circle represents a clock. The clock is powered by the sun.

Žiča is known for our SEVEN Serbian crowned kings.Stefan Nemanjić, the first Serbian king built Žiča in the 13th century.

Žiča was the seat of the Serbian Archbishop.

Early in the 14th century, the church was rebuilt by King Milutin.
