In the beginning of the 20-th century, the population of

Krasnoarmeysk was 2 000 inhabitants. The history of this

city is connected with the construction of the railway. Until

1938 the city was called Postyshevo. After the war the city was rebuilt with their own

hands. During this time was built the cinema "Mir", the House of

pioneers, six schools , four of the clubs. People began to open

new establishments.

Today Krasnoarmeysk is a developed city. People here are kind, cheerful and helpful. Refugees have found a temporary residence here.

Sport is a choice of a new generation.

Sport is very popular in our life. If we want to be healthy, strong and beautiful, we should go in for sports. When we do it, we feel wonderful, because we are active.There is a good Latin proverb: “A sound mind in a sound body.” If we want to keep fit, we should go in for sport regularly.When we are healthy, our life becomes more interesting, and we are happier.

. Many s schoolchildren are good sportsmen. They have good opportunities to go in for sport: a gym, a stadium, a swimming pool.Many of them show good results in team competitions and in competitions between schools.

Now we are at school №1 and12. Physical Training is an important subject at these schools. Boys and girls play volleyball and basketball at PT lessons.Many different competitions are held at schools, many pupils take part in them. All participants try to get good results and become a winner.

and became winners.

Everyone who wishes to be healthy and gоеs in for sport has a lot of opportunities. In Krasnoarmeysk there are different sport clubs. Both children and grown-ups can attend them.

Amateurs can keep fit too. There are three areas with sand in the park, where people can play volleyball, football or tennis.Those who wish can come here every weekend in summer.

To sum up, we’d like to say that we love our town. Here people should be healthy, participate in competitions, develop and make the town famous all over the world.
