» Please respect our community and be mindful of residents. Visitors are welcome but loud, anti-social behaviour that disturbs the peace of Byron Shire is not.
» Keep dogs on a leash even on the beach to protect our local wildlife.
» If you go hiking/bushwalking, take a buddy and always tell someone where you are going and what time you expect to return. Take plenty of water and a mobile phone.
» Do not light fires. Fires are prohibited on beaches and in parks. Dispose of cigarette butts carefully in bins and please do not litter.
» Do not feed or play with any wild birds or animals, we have venomous snakes and spiders in Australia and you may be bitten or scratched.
» The streets of Byron Shire are alcohol free, you cannot legally drink alcohol on the streets, parks, beaches or reserves (fines and confiscation of alcohol apply).
» The North Coast of NSW receives the state’s highest rainfall, so be careful on roads, adhere to speed limits and be careful when crossing the road.
