Music Magazine Survey

I wanted to see whether music is a big part of everyday life. This question shows me that music is only minor in their lifestyle. To the majority, it is not that important to them, and probably only listen to music when they are traveling.

The majority that answered this question stated that buying magazine is not needed. There are now other ways to find out more about music e.g. music magazine apps, website etc.

Pop/R&B, Rap/Hip Hop & Indie/Alternative are the most popular genres amongst the survey. This gives me an idea as to what type of music my target audience will be interested in.

People would rather have a music magazine monthly as the magazine will be more substantial (has more information) and you would be spending less money on a magazine.

My audience would spend the lowest possible price on a music magazine as they are not relevant to their everyday lives. They would find it as a waste of money if they spent more than £3.00.

The majority of my target audience would prefer free mp3 downloads of their favourite artists as it would entice them to the magazine. Also this is how the majority of my target audience access their music (through technology), so it would be convenient for them.

Obviously my target audience would prefer younger female and male artists as they can relate to them. This gives me an indication as to what type of artist my target audience would prefer.

My target audience are obviously interested about their chosen artist so having mini facts about them will interest them in the music magazine.

The artist Style, Rhythm & Lyric matter the most to my target audience. So I have to give my artist a unique style and inspirational quotes from them. This will interest my target audience.

Social networking is a big thing amongst my target audience so having links to different social networking such as, Facebook and twitter, will entice younger audience to buy the magazines.
