OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT“FOOD AND HEALTH”
T ti t il t l l ti i t i• To motivate pupils to regularly participate in English language activities both within the curriculum and as an extra-curricularcurriculum and as an extra curricular programme.
• The historical research of different food habits and the knowledge of different diets will be of great importance for people involved in the project because they will develop the curiosity inproject because they will develop the curiosity in searching the healthiest diet for them and become more aware of the necessity to eat healthy food and to know the substances in food that help people to stay healthy
• The project wants to help young people, our school communities, students’ ,families, their friends and the local communities in being aware about thecommunities in being aware about the importance of a healthy diet, in order to prevent some serious diseases such asprevent some serious diseases such as anorexia or bulimia and other diseases caused by a bad way of eating and drinking. g
• It wants to be a campaign to improve the quality of life of all people involved in the project.
• It wants to give pupils and teachers in our schools an opportunity to exchange experience y gand information with colleagues in other countries, to work together on one topic regarding the eating which has been identified like a common problem in our schools

yother,we have regularly used :e-mails,web cam links,chat rooms coordinated by me,we have also used the fax,the telephone in order to make arrangments t e a ,t e te ep o e o de to a e a a g e tsand agreement about the activities to plan.During the meeting we have exchanged our materials prepared in the period just before the meetingprepared in the period just before the meeting.The students from different schools have become “ambassadors”of their communities and have

During the meeting in Romania, it has been organized a :1. traditional food context
(Teams from each country have brought the necessary i di t i d t t diti l i i thingredients in order to prepare a traditional recipe in the school kitchen after that all partecipants have tasted the products,the products,

Lifestyle of school communities.It has been the result of a cooperation about schools and the
supervision of expert nutritionists from the Local health Servicesupervision of expert nutritionists from the Local health Service Salerno 1 –Cava dè Tirreni District.The main aim of the questionnare is to know the food habits of school community .
For a major scientificity it has been given to 15 students,15 teachers j y g ,and 15 parents of 3 schools in each town..
The result of the survey will be presented in Portugal during the third meeting

It has been the realization of a dreamIt has been the realization of a dream, started at distance, among some special teachers scattered in different Europeanteachers, scattered in different European places, sharing the same passion for working together around a same theme,sharing the same wish to meet geach other and to cooperate in order to improve their methods of teaching theirimprove their methods of teaching,their English, their students’ motivation in learning English and in learning how tolearning English and in learning how to eat healthy.
