How to make pictures from shapes created by movements

A line that moves round one of its ends sweeps out a circular area

The path can also be displayed as a sequence of

radial lines

- or as the path of its distal end

The length of the moving axis can change as it moves:

becoming shorter – longer - again short…

Another line articulated with the first can move

independently

…and if both lines move simultaneously, non-circular

shapes are created
